Status: 12 October 2026

Neverlag is an IPTV player for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Fire TV for Xtream Codes and M3U providers. It separates fetching the stream from playing it, so that connection drops do not lead to reloads. Measured: 60 seconds without a connection, zero reloads.

What Neverlag is

  • Neverlag is an IPTV player for Apple TV, Mac, iPhone and iPad, with a Fire TV version as a direct download.
  • It plays live TV from your own IPTV provider: you sign in with Xtream Codes or load an M3U playlist, the programme guide comes from XMLTV.
  • Neverlag delivers no content: no channels, no playlists, no providers. Whatever plays comes from your own provider.
  • The product name is «Neverlag»; «Neverlag Player» is only used as an addition.

Who makes it

  • Neverlag is developed and published by axiena AG, Horgen (Canton of Zürich), Switzerland.
  • Contact: support@neverlag.app. Website: neverlag.app in English, German, French and Italian.

Platforms and store

  • Apple: Apple TV (tvOS 17 or newer), iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS 17 or newer), Mac (macOS 14 or newer) — one universal purchase for all of them.
  • In the App Store since 18 September 2026 (iPhone/iPad); Apple TV followed on 24 September 2026; the Mac app follows under the same link.
  • Version 1.0 is in the store. Version 1.0.2 is announced: profiles with a child profile, a catch-up archive, a 7-day free trial with its own list, source switch when the picture stands still, picture at the broadcast rate, audio rescue — store update follows shortly.
  • Fire TV (Fire OS 7 or newer): signed APK as a direct download from neverlag.app, not in the Amazon store.

How it keeps the picture up

  • Fetching and playing are separated: Neverlag builds a reserve of 30 to 60 seconds and plays from it while the connection is rebuilt in the background.
  • When a disturbance appears, Neverlag acts step by step before the picture stands still; a smaller resolution comes last, and 4K comes back by itself when the line allows it.
  • If a channel dies at the provider, Neverlag takes the other transport route by itself; a line above the picture says what it did.
  • Playback is based on mpv (libmpv) and FFmpeg; the LGPL source offer is on the open-source page. No DRM: Widevine and FairPlay are not supported.
  • From version 1.0.2 the picture follows the broadcast rate: 50 Hz on the Mac, 120 Hz on iPhones with ProMotion, with optional motion smoothing.

Purchase model

  • One subscription covers Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac, with Family Sharing.
  • 7 days free to try, with everything open: live TV, recordings, diagnostics. The price is shown in the App Store, not on this website.
  • No account with Neverlag: the purchase is tied to the Apple ID.

Privacy

  • No account, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising — in the app and on the website.
  • Provider credentials stay in the device keychain; the playback journal is stored locally and leaves the device only if you share it yourself.
  • The website sets no cookies and uses no local storage.

What Neverlag is not

  • Neverlag is not a content provider and does not recommend, list or sell IPTV subscriptions.
  • Neverlag is not a streaming service: without an IPTV provider of your own, there is nothing to watch.
  • Neverlag does not play DRM-protected streams and is not available in the Amazon Appstore or on Google Play.
