Overview
Welcome. This wiki explains Neverlag 1.0.2 for everyone without technical knowledge: every setting, every function, what it gives you, what it costs, and what you can do when something goes wrong.
What Neverlag is
Neverlag is a player for IPTV. That means: the app plays channels you bring yourself – via an M3U playlist or the login details of an Xtream provider.
Neverlag contains, supplies and brokers no content. There are no channels from us, no recommendations for providers and no connection to providers. You alone are responsible for which sources you enter. The app shows this notice on first start; you can find it at any time under Settings → About Neverlag → “Player, not a provider — the notice”.
What Neverlag does differently from many other players: it separates fetching the channel from playing it. This lets the app reconnect in the background during short dropouts at the provider while the picture keeps running from a reserve. How this works is described under How Neverlag stays stable.
Who it is for
- For everyone who has their own IPTV list and wants to watch it on Apple devices.
- For households with several devices: your private iCloud syncs favourites, tags and playback positions.
- For everyone who wants to know why it is stuttering right now: the diagnostics tell you whether it is the provider, the network or the device.

How to read this wiki
- New to Neverlag? Start with Getting started, then Interface.
- Want to understand a setting? Every setting on the settings pages has the same layout: name (as in the app) · Where · What it does · Default · Options · When to change · What it costs · Works together with.
- Something not working? Troubleshooting starts from the symptom: what you see, what the app does, what you can do.
- Don’t understand a word? The Glossary explains terms such as Xtream, M3U, EPG or reserve.
The names of the settings appear in the wiki as they are called in the app in English. If your app runs in another language, switch the help to that language – the names there match the app as well.
Where the information comes from
The source is the app’s code and explanatory texts (as of release 1.0.2, branch release-1.0.2-bedienung). Every “Default: …” entry is backed by the code. Anything that cannot be backed by the code is in the “Open” list under Contributing – and not stated as a claim in the wiki.
