Trial and subscription
From version 1.0.2. The app is free; to watch, you need the 7-day trial or a subscription – both with your own channel list. The former demo mode is gone.
What it is
Neverlag is a player for your own channel list — an M3U playlist or an Xtream account from your provider. The app itself is free. To watch, you need either the 7-day trial or a subscription (monthly or yearly; the purchase screen shows the price).
The trial is a free product on the App Store (“7-day trial”, price 0). You “buy” it like a normal in-app purchase — it costs nothing, and Apple charges nothing. From that moment, seven days start running. The trial is tied to your Apple ID: if you delete and reinstall Neverlag or switch to another device, the same trial carries on — it does not start over.
How to use it
- Add a list. This is always possible, even without the trial: Settings → Providers & Content → “Add M3U playlist …” or “Add Xtream account …”. The setup tour on first launch takes you there.
- Start the trial. In the last step of the tour, on the purchase screen or under Settings → Subscription, tap “Try 7 days free”. Beforehand you see the duration (7 days), the fact that watching is locked afterwards, and the subscription prices.
- Watch. For seven days, everything works: live channels, TV Guide, movies and series, recordings, Apple TV.
- Keep an eye on the days left. The narrow line below the channel list and Settings → Subscription show “Trial — N days left”. So does the purchase screen. On Mac, iPhone and iPad, tapping the line opens the purchase screen; on Apple TV it is display only. You can subscribe at any time, even in the middle of the trial: Settings → Subscription → “Start subscription”.
- When it ends. Watching is locked; your lists, favourites and settings stay. When you tap a channel, the purchase screen appears with the two subscriptions. With a subscription, everything carries on immediately.
- Restore purchase. On a new device or after reinstalling: Settings → Subscription → “Restore purchase”. This brings back both a subscription and a trial that is still running.
The purchase screen always appears in the language you have set in Neverlag (Settings → General → Language), not in the device’s language.
Setup tour
On first launch, Neverlag shows a short tour in five steps: Add a list, Channels and guide, Reserve against dropouts, Pair devices, Start your trial. You can end it at any step with “Skip” and watch it again later under Settings → General → Help → “Tour of the app”. On the Apple TV you operate it with the remote (Next/Back, MENU closes it).
Limits
- The trial is available once per Apple ID. After that, only a subscription helps.
- The trial cannot be paused; the seven days run straight through from the start.
- Neverlag provides no content. Without your own list there is nothing to watch, even during the trial.
- No internet at launch: Neverlag remembers the last status from Apple (trial runs until …, subscription until …) and lets you keep watching until that date.
